Privacy Policy

Slow Pour is a consumer + small-business product. We collect only what we need to send you relevant deal alerts and let venue owners see whether their promotions worked. This page is the plain-English version. If you want the legal one, email hello@slowpour.app.

What we collect

• Account: email address, display name, and your account type (consumer or business).
• Taste signals: cuisines, vibes, price sensitivity, neighborhoods — supplied by you in the onboarding quiz and profile editor.
• Location: your home pin and search radius for ranking deals. We never track real-time GPS.
• Notifications: web-push subscription token + (if you opt in) phone number for SMS fallback.
• Activity: which deals you opened, claimed, or redeemed. Owners see aggregate stats on their venues; we never share which specific consumers redeemed.
• Billing (owners only): Stripe customer ID + subscription state. Card numbers never touch our servers — Stripe holds those.

How we use it

• Recommend deals that match your taste + location.
• Send push and (optionally) SMS notifications when a nearby venue dips quiet.
• Generate AI promo copy + slow-window predictions for venues (Claude, OpenAI — see below).
• Help owners measure whether AI-fired deals filled seats.
• Send transactional email (signup confirmation, billing receipts, weekly digests for owners).

Third-party processors

We share data with these vendors only as needed to run the service:

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage.
• Stripe — owner subscription billing.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI promo copy generation, slow-window prediction, deal ranking. We send venue + deal metadata; we don’t send your email or location to the AI.
• Resend — transactional and digest email delivery.
• Twilio — SMS notifications (only if you opt in and provide a phone number).
• Vercel — hosting + analytics (page views, web vitals — no personal data).

AI disclosure

Push notifications, in-app deal copy, and slow-hour predictions are generated by AI (Anthropic Claude). The AI can make mistakes — owners can override every deal before or while it’s live, and we’ll never charge you for a redemption a venue refuses.

Your rights

• See your data: log in to /app/profile (consumer) or /business/settings (owner) — everything we have on you lives in those screens.
• Delete your account: the “Delete my account” button on those screens removes every row tied to your auth record (cascade deletes). Active Stripe subscriptions are cancelled first.
• Opt out of notifications: toggle push and SMS off in your profile. SMS users can also reply STOP to unsubscribe via Twilio.

Children

Slow Pour is built for adults. Deals are for venues that serve alcohol or food during night-out hours, and account creation requires you be 18+. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors.

Cookies + storage

We use a Supabase auth cookie to keep you logged in, a referral cookie (sp_ref) for 30 days when you visit an invite link, and localStorage for your occasion picker and tour-seen state. No advertising cookies. No cross-site trackers.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we’ll bump the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, email you before they take effect.
